This project was to train and equip TVET Institution Leaders on the concept of GEMSET and to apply the 7 dimensions of TVET Excellence Attributes in the preparation and submission of GEMSET Application Report. Some 30 Leaders from DGTVET, National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC) and National Technical Training Institute (NTTI) participated in this project.
There were 3 parts in this project to strengthen the understanding and knowledge to aid NTTI and NPIC in their GEMSET journey. Both institutions are under the charge of DGTVET Office in the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT).

For Part 1, 20 participants attended a workshop focusing on the 7 dimensions of TVET Excellence, GEMSET assessment and award. It was carried out through workshop style where participants interacted with the facilitators to present their work and share ideas onsite in Cambodia.
For Part 2, the same group of participants attended a synchronous online workshop. This workshop provided participants with more in-depth explanation on the GEMSET framework. The participants were also required to provide a write-up for each of the excellence dimensions to demonstrate their understanding of the GEMSET framework.
For Part 3, the participants attended an onsite consultancy workshop in Singapore. The workshop was carried out through cluster-style consultation sessions that helped the participants in completing the GEMSET Application Report through guidance and explanation with real-life ITE examples. The participants visited ITE Colleges to witness how ITE implemented the different excellence attributes in the management and delivery of TVET.
