This project consists of 2 programmes: a 3-day leadership programme aimed at inspiring policy makers and senior leaders to embark on a TVET transformation journey and another 5-day Administrator training to enhance leadership and management skills of institutional leaders.

About the project

Project Scope: 

Programme One

The 3-day Excellence in TVET for Senior Policy Makers programme was to challenge participants to rethink and reform their existing model so as to embark on a TVET transformation journey, which would significantly contribute to social and economic development. This 3-day training provided an overview of the Singapore Story in adopting a whole of government approach, and the key success factors to ensure a highly effective TVET ecosystem to align TVET to social and economic development goals. The participants were exposed to ITE’s transformation journey in changing the image of technical education and creating a unique brand of a world class institution and training model that ITE represented today.

Programme Two

The 5-day TVET Institution Management and Operation Training Course was to enhance the leadership and management skills of institutional leaders in managing their TVET institutions with a focus on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to promote academic excellence in TVET administration and delivery. The 5-day training focuses on the designing, planning and operating a successful TVET institution in the 21st century, ITE’s transformation journey in changing the image of technical education and creating a unique brand of a world class institution and training model that ITE represents today.

Impact & Outcome: This training programme is still on-going.  To date, ITEES has completed 2 runs of Programme One and trained a total of 20 participants consisting of Ministers, Senior Policy Makers and Senior Administrators involved in the skills development in Himachal Pradesh, India.
