At the request of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Cambodia, a training needs analysis was conducted for the setting up of a Technical Training Institute at Heng Samrin Thbongkhmu University to address the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the fields of ICT and Engineering.
About the project
Project Scope: To meet the growing demands for skilled manpower in the ICT and Engineering sectors in Cambodia, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) planned to set up a Technical Training Institute (TTI) within the University of Heng Samrin Thbongkhmu. In May 2016, ITEES was engaged by MoEYS to conduct a 5-day Training Needs Analysis to identify the requirements and make recommendations for the proposed TTI project.
Impact & Outcome: A comprehensive implementation plan was presented to MoEYS covering key recommendations on Infrastructure Development, Curriculum Design and Development, Capability Development, Setting up of Training Facilities and Management Training. The plan included the training of 329 Master Trainers and Trainers to support the delivery of ICT and Engineering courses.
