The objective of this project was to equip TVET leaders and traineres from ASEAN countries with relevant knowledge and skills in managing a high performing TVET institution, including introducing new technologies brought on by Industry 4.0, into the training of TVET students.

About the project

Project Scope: In Mar 2021, SEAMEO VOCTECH collaborated with ITEES on a third capability building programme to train TVET leaders and teachers in the following areas:

Leaders Training Workshop (LTW) for 50 TVET Leaders

A 5-day training workshop was conducted for TVET Leaders to enhance their knowledge on the best practices of leading and managing an effective TVET institution. In addition, the programme also covered ITE’s experience in incorporating Industry 4.0 practices into its TVET ecosystem.

Specialists Skills Upgrading Course (SUC) for 60 Specialists

This course consists of 2-week Specialists Skills Upgrading for a total of 60 participants based on 20 participants per run. The programme focused primarily on using technologies, particularly those brought on by Industry 4.0, in the training of skills in 3 key sectors namely, Food Processing, Hotel Management, and Robotics & Smart Systems.

Impact & Outcome: The project is still on-going.  Till date, ITEES conducted one run of LTW for 50 TVET Leaders and two runs of SUC for a total of 40 Specialists. The final run of the SUC will be conducted in Jun 2024.
