Technical Skills Upgrading Programme for Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (Second Project)

Arising from the success of the first capability building project in 2012, ITEES and Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT) collaborated on a second project in Technical Skill Upgrading Programme (TSUP) to train 90 Master Trainers in 3 areas namely Info-Communications Technology, Electronics and Automotive Technology (Light Vehicles).

About the project

Project Scope: There were 3 runs of training to strengthen the technical competency of MLVT trainers as follows:

  • 32 master trainers attended the training from 3 – 7 July 2017 on Info-Communications Technology
  • 16 master trainers attended the training from 13 – 17 Nov 2017 on Electronics
  • 32 master trainers attended the training from 2 – 6 July 2018, on Automotive Technology (Light Vehicles)

Impact & Outcome:  Besides the 90 Master Trainers trained, through the Post-Training Sharing Workshops, 59 trainers upgraded their skills in Info-Communications Technology, 27 trainers had upgraded their skills in Electronics, and 96 trainers had upgraded their skills in Automotive Technology (Light Vehicles).
