This was a capability development programme to upgrade the industry collaboration framework and improve industry linkages for TVET institutions under Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

About the project

Project Scope: In this 3rd collaboration project with TESDA, ITEES  implemented a capability development programme comprising three components specifically tailored to meet the competency needs of the three categories of personnel namely, Regional and Provincial Directors, Administrators, and Industry Coordinators. Each of these training components comprised a 2-week training in Philippines and a 1-week Immersion Programme in Singapore:

Component 1 – Industry-based Training Programme (IBTP) for Regional and Provincial Directors

This 3-week training programme was conducted in TESDA from 12 to 23 Jan 2015 in Philippines and in ITE from 26 to 30 Jan 2015 in Singapore. Twenty-two Regional and Provincial Directors attended the training and were equipped with essential leadership and management skills in engaging and managing industry partners.

Component 2 – IBTP for Vocational School Administrators

This 3-week training programme was conducted at TESDA from 2 to 13 Mar 2015 in Philippines and at ITE from 16 to 20 Mar 2015 in Singapore. Twenty-six vocational school administrators attended the training and upgraded their skills and knowledge in managing and implementing industry-based programmes.

Component 3 – IBTP for Industry Coordinators

This 3-week training programme was conducted at TESDA from 8 to 19 Jun 2015 in Philippines and at ITE from 22 to 26 Jun 2015 in Singapore. Twenty-seven industry coordinators from various vocational schools attended the training and were equipped with essential skills in developing and managing On-the-Job Training (OJT) blueprints.

Impact & Outcome: A total of 22 Leaders and 53 Master Trainers were trained directly and another 71 TVET Leaders and 260 TVET Trainers were benefitted through a series of Post-Training Sharing Workshops.
