The objective of this project was to upgrade the technical capability of TVET trainers from ASEAN countries in the delivery of lessons, through 3 runs of three-week Technical Skills Upgrading Programme in Industry Electronics, Facility Technology and Mechatronics.

About the project

Project Scope: In Jun 2013, SEAMEO VOCTECH collaborated with ITEES in the implementation of a Technical Skills Upgrading Programme (TSUP) for TVET Trainers from ASEAN countries.

The Technical Skills Upgrading Programme focused on 3 areas, namely, Industry Electronics, Facility Technology (Air-conditioning) and Mechatronics (Automation Technology).  Three runs of training were conducted in Singapore to strengthen the technical competence of 91 TVET Master Trainers as follows:

  • 1st Run in Industry Electronics (19 Aug – 6 Sep 2013)
  • 2nd Run in Facility Technology (15 Sep – 3 Oct 2014)
  • 3rd Run in Mechatronics (23 Mar – 10 Apr 2015)

Impact & Outcome: A total of 91 trained Master Trainers were trained during the programme and an additional 562 TVET Trainers were benefitted through a series of Post-Training Sharing Workshops.

This programme was co-funded by Temasek Foundation, Singapore.
