In line with government's initiative in Industry 4.0, this programme focused on skills development to cultivate a proficient workforce for Thailand's S-Curve industries, for the leaders and trainers from the Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC).
About the project
Project Scope: The programme centred on Industry 4.0 to support the digitalisation of manufacturing sector under Thailand 4.0 vision. ITEES trained OVEC leaders and trainers to incorporate Industry 4.0 concepts into TVET delivery. It included a 3-day Leaders Training Workshop (LTW) to provide an overview of Industry 4.0 and its application in TVET. It also included a Specialists Skills Upgrading Course (SUC) in TVET Industry 4.0 focusing on Robotics and Smart Systems.
Impact & Outcome: To date, ITEES had implemented 2 runs of LTWs in Thailand for 59 leaders and 2 runs of SUCs in Singapore for 37 specialists. The remaining 2 runs of SUCs are expected to be conducted for another 40 specialists by Dec 2024.
