Arising from the success of the first capability building project in 2012, ITEES and Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT) collaborated on a second project in Technical Skill Upgrading Programme (TSUP) to train 90 Master Trainers in 3 areas namely Info-Communications Technology, Electronics and Automotive Technology (Light Vehicles).
About the project
Project Scope: There were 3 runs of training to strengthen the technical competency of MLVT trainers as follows:
- 32 master trainers attended the training from 3 – 7 July 2017 on Info-Communications Technology
- 16 master trainers attended the training from 13 – 17 Nov 2017 on Electronics
- 32 master trainers attended the training from 2 – 6 July 2018, on Automotive Technology (Light Vehicles)
Impact & Outcome: Besides the 90 Master Trainers trained, through the Post-Training Sharing Workshops, 59 trainers upgraded their skills in Info-Communications Technology, 27 trainers had upgraded their skills in Electronics, and 96 trainers had upgraded their skills in Automotive Technology (Light Vehicles).
