This project established a World Class Skills Centre (WCSC) a premier skills training centre to produce skilled manpower to meet the needs of the industries in Delhi, India.

About the project

Project Scope: The establishment of WCSC was done over a 3-year period from Jul 2012 to Jul 2015. ITEES provided consultancy and training services for the setting up of 2 courses, namely Hospitality Operations and Retail Services, in Vivek Vihar, Delhi, India.

The consultancy and training services included:

  1. Technical Assessment
  2. Curriculum Development
  3. Train-The-Trainers (Pedagogy)
  4. Train-The-Trainers (Technical)
  5. Training of Management Staff
  6. Training Supervision and Evaluation
  7. Exam Inspection & Quality Assessment
  8. Accreditation of Centre and Certification of Students
  9. Evaluation of Centre Performance

The WCSC was launched by the late Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit in Sep 2013.

Impact & Outcome: The project was officially completed in July 2015 with the launch of the courses. ITEES had also trained 9 management staff in TVET institute management and 13 lecturers in both pedagogy and technical skills.

This is a G-to-G collaboration between Singapore and India with capacity building co-funded by Temasek Foundation, Singapore.
