This programme challenged the mind-set of senior government officials in Industry Revolution 4.0 for TVET. It encouraged them to rethink and reform their current TVET systems and understand the importance of TVET in addressing education, workforce, and socio-economic needs.

About the project

Project Scope: ITEES conducted a 5-day in person Leadership Training Programme from 26 Sep to 30 Sep 2022 for a total of 28 participants from 21 different countries, namely Azerbaijan, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Fiji, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Zimbabwe.

Through this programme, participants gained an in-depth understanding in the following:

  • Introduction to key technologies in Industry 4.0 and how TVET sector needs to evolve and adapt to stay relevant and meet the demands of Industry 4.0;
  • Understanding of Singapore’s TVET development and how TVET plays a critical role in Singapore’s economic development;
  • Understanding of the best practices and systems adopted in Singapore’s TVET System, including its experience in TVET administration and delivery;
  • Understanding of the successful model of ITE education which forms the integral part of TVET education in Singapore; and
  • Learning of appropriate strategies and best practices to enhance their TVET systems and processes for their respective countries.

Impact & Outcome: The programme equipped participants with the knowledge to aid in their subsequent review and creation of relevant Industry 4.0 initiatives and TVET organisation improvements for their own countries and organisations.
