Capability • Leadership
This project was to assist Batam Polytechnic in its TVET upgrading initiative. It consisted of training in leadership and capability development, curriculum design & development, and technical skills.
About the project
Project Scope: In 2014, ITEES collaborated with Batam Polytechnic to implement a capability development project to support skilled manpower needs in the Maritime and Shipbuilding industries in Batam. For this project, ITEES conducted the following programmes:
Leadership Training Programme (LTP)
One run of 1-week LTP from 25 to 29 May 2015 (3 days in Batam and 2 days in Singapore) to strengthen the leadership and management competence of 10 Leaders.
Curriculum Design, Development and Assessment Programme (CDDA)
One run of a 3-week CDDA programme from 26 Jan to 13 Feb 2015 in Batam, Indonesia to upgrade the curriculum development competence of 25 Master Trainers.
Technical Training Programme (TTP)
One run of a 3-week TTP from 23 Mar to 10 Apr 2015 (2 weeks in Batam and 1 week in Singapore) to enhance the technical skills in Ship Building and Design of 19 Master Trainers.
Impact & Outcome: A total of 10 Leaders and 31 Master Trainers were trained. Another 100 Master Trainers were trained through a series of Post-Training Sharing Workshops conducted by the trained participants.
This programme was co-funded by Temasek Foundation, Singapore.
