A training programme to build the capability of 60 TVET leaders and 40 specialist trainers with leadership and technical skills for Industry 4.0, preparing them to drive and contribute to the digital transformation in the Philippines.
About the project
Project Scope: In 2021, ITEES collaborated with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for the fifth time to implement a leadership and capability development programme in Industry 4.0 comprising:
Industry 4.0 Leaders Training Workshop (LTW) for TVET Leaders
A 5-day training workshop was developed for TVET Leaders to enhance their knowledge on Industry 4.0 and its key technologies, as well as, to have a better understanding of the Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) and Assessment Matrix (AM). Two runs of LTW were conducted from 20 to 24 Jun 2022 for 28 TVET Leaders and 19 to 23 Sep 2022 for 50 TVET Leaders
Industry 4.0 Specialists Skills Upgrading Course for TVET Specialists
The programme will focus primarily on using technologies, particularly those brought on by Industry 4.0 in the training of skills in 2 key sectors namely, Manufacturing and Logistics. The training programmes are Industry 4.0 – Robotics and Smart Systems and Smart Warehouse respectively.
Impact & Outcome: This programme is still on-going. As of September 2023, a total of 78 TVET Leaders were trained in Industry 4.0 leadership.
This programme is currently co-funded by Temasek Foundation, Singapore
