India
Leadership
This programme was designed to build the capability of TVET Leaders in Madhya Pradesh through equipping them with knowledge and skills to identify strategies and processes to promote excellence in TVET management.
About the project
Project Scope: In Nov 2021, ITEES collaborated with Directorate of Skill Development (DoSD), Madhya Pradesh (MP), India to implement three runs of 40-hour Leaders Training Workshop (LTW) for 120 TVET Leaders to enhance their knowledge on the best practices of leading and managing an effective TVET institution. The main objective of this LTW is to equip TVET Leaders with the knowledge and skills to promote academic excellence in TVET administration and delivery. The participants subsequently trained other leaders and become change agents in transforming TVET in MP after the training.
Impact & Outcome: After the online LTW, the 120 trained TVET Leaders shared their knowledge and action plans with another 360 TVET Leaders (or a multiplier ratio of 1:3) through a series of online Post-Training Sharing Workshops in MP. The aim of this workshop was to cascade the learning to benefit other TVET Leaders who did not attend the LTW online directly. An online Programme and Evaluation Review session was also organised by DoSD for the TVET Leaders to present the improvements implemented in their respective training institutes.
This programme was co-funded by Temasek Foundation (TF), Singapore.
